As with many of our potential sports stars of the future, many
fail not because of lack ability and dedication but are struggling
to finance their equipment and training. Martin is totally dedicated
to achieving a medal in the Olympics and so work has had to
take second place to his training regime. To this end, Ridgemill
are helping to support Martin financially to give him the best chance
at gaining a medal for Great Britain at 2012.

 

Ridgemill Balloon

At Ridgemill we believe it’s important to put a bit back into the
communities in which we work. To that end, we run and sponsor
a 105,000 cubic foot hot air balloon which is used for charitable
and civic purposes.

‘Bridgit’ as she is known was purchased in 2002 as a balloon for
the City of Bristol and in particular this was to support the Bristol
International Balloon Fiesta and the City’s bid to be the European
Capital of Culture in 2008.

“The Bristol Balloon” as she is generally known, can be seen
flying around the Bristol and Bath area. Every year she takes
part in the Bristol and Tavistock Balloon fiestas. Over the past few
years we have flown many celebrities such as The Lord Mayor of
Bristol and other civic dignitaries, Tony Robinson, Jane Seymour
(who has a home near Bath), the late Leslie Crowther,
Dr Alice Robert and Andy Robinson (former England
rugby manager).
